Stop the Barrage NOW campaign mentioned in the Houses of Parliament debate

27/11/08

During a recent Welsh debate in the Houses of Parliament Conservative MP Robert Key asked whether Wayne David MP the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Wales would visit our website because he would “… find a growing list of organisations and individuals opposed to causing irreversible damage to the Severn estuary, but strongly in favour of using tidal flow energy as an important renewable resource”.

The Stop the Barrage NOW campaign continues to work with a whole range of individuals and organisations with the aim of stopping a proposed Severn Barrage. We remained committed to using the Severn as a renewable energy source and press upon the Government to seek alternative options.
